The Falmouth Country Club is looking for a lead Host!

Job Summary: We are looking for Full time Hosts/Receptionists in Falmouth, Maine.

The Club offers a formal dining room, a fun "Clubroom" and bar area with fireplace, outside seating with a view of the golf course, beautiful upstairs function room, a seasonally-available, tented pavilion area, and a pool complex offering a poolside bar and full menu service.

In addition to day to day member service, Falmouth hosts weddings and events up to 300 guests in size. This is a fun, fast-paced environment where service and customer relationships are critical to success.

Summary of Essential Job Functions of our Hosts:

• Basic to fine dining food and take-out service
• Ability to work well with others, take direction as well as provide leadership
• Ability to train and educate other hosts
• Memorization of Menus and desire to learn the details and stories behind our Food and Beverage Programs
• Extreme attention to detail and ability to communicate when issues arise
• Accountability - we have a high expectation for our service staff and expect each staff member to hold themselves and their co-workers at and above that expectation

Minimum Requirements needed to apply for the Host opening:

• 1 year food service experience
• Basic understanding of beer, wine and liquor - cocktail styles and bar jargon.
• Cleanliness and Organization
• Dedication to high quality service
• Maintain a professional appearance and appropriate attire
• Enthusiastic approach to customer service
• Always on TIME
• Understanding of dining room layouts and table and seat numbers.
• Ability to clear and bus tables efficiently and quietly in order to not disrupt nearby tables.
• Ability to communicate professionally on the phone and in person fielding questions and taking messages for upper management.
