Job Summary:
The Hours of Service Compliance Coordinator is responsible for monitoring daily electronic as well as paper logging activity by drivers and pursuing driver alerts to ensure compliance.
Essential Functions:
- Provide continued support to drivers and operations personnel as needed or requested regarding hours of service education and compliance via phone and email.
- Maintain online monitoring system and provide reports as requested.
- Entering log edits and corrections into Electronic Logging Device system.
- Acquire and maintain required documentation in cases where intervention is required to ensure drivers conform to DOT regulations.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and maintain log audit reports, summaries, and distribution of any required or requested reports.
- Effectively evaluate and identify logging compliance issues and assist in resolving them in a timely manner.
Other Requirements:
- HS Grad or GED.
- Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook are required; PowerPoint experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Efficient Customer Service with Strong PC skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
- Familiar with DOT regulations and Hours of Service a plus.
- Must be able to stay informed and up-to-date on all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations that are related to hours of service, plus learn and understand state regulations as needed.
Working conditions: Usual work environment is an office setting.
