Job Description:

Chaparral Ranch is seeking a part-time Horseback Riding Instructor and Trail Guide who is passionate about working with horses and people. In this role, you will be responsible for leading trail rides, teaching horseback riding lessons, and ensuring the safety of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Lead trail rides through the beautiful hills and coastal areas of Marina/Monterey Bay.
• Plan and create your own lesson program for beginner to advanced riders.
• Check in students and ensure that they have a safe and fun lesson.
• Assist with horse care, including grooming, feeding, and cleaning stalls.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Maintain a safe and organized riding environment.
• Ensure that all clients are treated with respect and receive excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Horse experience is required, including experience riding and handling horses.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

This is a part-time position. Pay is commensurate with experience.
