STV currently has an opening in our Douglassville, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh, PA offices for a Highway Engineer in our Transportation/Infrastructure Division. You will need experience in highway geometrics, roadway modeling/cross section, grading, drainage, erosion/sediment control, storm water management, traffic control, signing, pavement marking, utility coordination, and right-of-way plan development.

STV has a thriving Transportation & Infrastructure practice in Pennsylvania with a close-knit, team-oriented group that is growing rapidly as we expand our services across our four PA offices in Douglassville, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh. Due to our success, we need to continue to add talent to assist with the delivery of our current extensive backlog of work.

STV currently has openings in each of our Douglassville, Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, PA offices for Highway Engineers in our Transportation and Infrastructure Division.

The successful candidate will have experience in highway design including:

Highway geometrics, roadway modeling and cross section development, grading and drainage, erosion and sediment control, storm water management, traffic control, signing and pavement marking, utility coordination, and right-of-way plan development.

Key responsibilities will include:

Design and review of all phases of highway plan development for our various transportation projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with highway design
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to Mentor and Coach junior designers
  • Ability to determine scope of work and prepare man-hour estimates for highway engineering tasks
  • Active member of our Client Service Teams supporting proposal development and business development activities
  • Experience with PennDOT and PA Turnpike as well as other transportation agencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OpenRoads, MicroStation, InRoads and Microsoft Office. AutoTAB is a plus
  • Active participation in professional society activities encouraged.
