Title: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - HERRC
Pay Rate: $21-$23 per hour
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Hours: 8am – 8pm or 8pm – 8am
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an EMT, you will be working alongside a clinical team lead (LPN or RN) to support the needs of a migrant population in a humanitarian emergency response and recovery center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work alongside the clinical team lead (RN or LPN) and provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to the migrant population
- Assist the Team Lead with COVID testing, vital signs, and assessments
- Stock and maintain the necessary medical supplies
- Assist with escalation of care and triaging patients appropriately
- Must be able to lift, push and pull 125 lbs or more
- Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
- Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses, and registrations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NY State EMT- Basic Certification (required)
- Valid Driver's License
- Active BLS Required
- Excellent verbal communication skill
*Bilingual - Spanish Speaking Required

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
