The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Helper to work at our Charleston Mill Services location in Huger, SC. The Maintenance Helper assists Maintenance Technicians with the maintenance and repair of all heavy equipment. This position is designed to provide training and development opportunities to those interested in becoming a heavy equipment Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities
The Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Helper:

• Performs pre and post operation inspections of mobile equipment
• Provides tools and parts for the Maintenance Technician
• Observes repairs as they are performed
• Performs preventative maintenance on all mobile equipment
• Greases equipment
• Fluid and filter changes
• Collects oil samples
• Cleans and lubricates equipment, parts and components
• Fuels heavy equipment
• Performs basic equipment repairs - (i.e. replaces lights, windshield wipers)
• Participates in vendor training
• Completes CAT University courses to develop knowledge of mechanical theories and practices
• Maintains records and reporting
• Provides general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Meets customer service requirements
• Complies with all safety regulations and policies
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
