We have an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented Health Services Administrator to join our Senior Leadership Team. If you meet the requirements of this position and align with our mission, we would be honored to review your cover letter and resume.

The Health Service Administrator is responsible for overseeing all resident care provided by the Skilled Nursing Center (60 beds), Assisted Living (40 apartments), Memory Neighborhood, and the Independent Living Wellness Clinic, ensuring effective and efficient daily operations.

Position Requirements

The Health Services Administrator will have a Master's degree in Business or Health Care Administration, five (5) to eight (8) years long term care administration experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Health Services Administrator must have an active Virginia Nursing Home Administrator's license.

Departmental Oversight

  • Oversees the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of designated work areas including supervisors and employees of those work areas.
  • Ensures occupancy goals are met for optimum revenue of the Health Center (AL, SNF, Wellness Clinic)
  • Assures departments comply with all Federal, state, local regulations and CARF standards.
  • Directs department managers in preparing budgets and monitoring progress against the plan to ensure coverage of cost of operations.
  • Maintains quality working relationships and communications throughout the department and with other departments in the organization. Communicates with the Executive Director to share information regarding departmental operations.
  • Chairs the Quality Assurance Committee. Ensures corrective action is taken to resolve Quality Assurance issues where appropriate.
  • In conjunction with the medical care team, develops and fosters collaborative relationships with residents and their families to identify individual health care needs and resolve any concerns raised.
  • Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities for each assigned work area. Compares data from multiple sources to develop courses of action and solutions.
  • Reviews all risks and complaints with the Executive Director to determine the best course of action to effectively resolve these concerns.
