Health and Human Services Aide Job at Mancan
Parkersburg Mancan is assisting companies in Glennville & Pt Pleasant searching for Health and Human Services Aide. Pay is based on experience. 22K-40K. Hours are Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm but could vary.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, performs professional work in a support services role to assist the daily operations of the Local Agency. The Health and Human Services Aide performs office duties including answering the main telephone lines, retrieving and responding to voicemails, utilizing email for communication, checking fax and staying abreast of current policies and procedures. Establishes and maintains participant records and ensures confidentiality of all records and information. Completes all required screens in the computer system to gather demographic information, income information, and health information to determine eligibility. Makes referrals to other agencies or community partners as needed, makes appointments and completes other screens related to office and client procedures for the program. Thoroughly explains the participant agreement in detail. Schedules return visits and class appointments for current clients. Checks for online education completion from clients, and ensures all clients are scheduled according to processing standards. Certifies and determines financial eligibility of applicants. Performs and records height and weight measurements. Performs and records biochemical measurements, such as hemoglobin. Participates in outreach activities that promote the program, coordinating activities with community partners and informing organizations about the program. May also provide breastfeeding support to clients. Orders and maintains medical and office equipment needed. Assists in coverage of office assistants in multiple counties when needed.
Job Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of WIC program preferred
Strong clerical skills
Excellent organizational skills
Public contact and travel
Other related duties as needed
