I. Job Mission

The dynamics of every Lightbridge Academy classroom stem from the leadership exhibited by the Lead Teacher. The ideal candidate serves as the "thermometer" setting the temperature of the classroom by exemplifying a positive “can-do” attitude and the ability to design engaging, creative and age-appropriate lesson plans. This early education professional is a caring and nurturing individual capable of mentoring a team to collaboratively create a stimulating learning environment.

II. Job Responsibilities

• Exemplify the Lightbridge Academy Circle of Care Philosophy and live our Core Values
• Create and develop strong parent and child relationships.
• Foster a learning environment that stimulates child growth and development.
• Create and implement lesson plans following Lightbridge Academy curriculum.
• Ensure a clean and healthy classroom atmosphere by maintaining children's proper hygiene and following proper diaper changing and potty-training policies and procedures.
• Complete a minimum of 30 hours of ongoing professional development.
• Completion of CPR and First Aid certification

III. An ideal candidate for this role should possess:

• Must be articulate, reliable, and possesses a professional demeanor.
• Must love children and have a passion for teaching.
• AA in Education (focus in Early Childhood preferred) or foreign equivalent.
• CDA (Child Development Associate) required.
• Must have classroom experience with Pre-K
