Direct supervision of the milling department in maintaining and improving optimum mill performance through cooperative work with mill personnel. Including, but not limited to, safety, yield, capacity, quality, efficiency, process control, sanitation, maintenance, labor relations and conformity to specifications at the least cost.

`1) Ensure all daily production meets performance standards, product specifications,
and production schedules.

- Optimum Daily capacities - Minimize unscheduled plant down time -
- Optimum milling performance wheat yields -
- Daily mill sanitation, housekeeping and production records

2) Enforce company guidelines and procedures, general plant rules, safety rules, GMP's and HACCP plan

3) Plan and direct all routine department equipment maintenance activities, including but not limited to:
a) Roll changing, rollstand drie and roll cabinet maintenance
b) Sifter and purifier inspection and maintenance
c) Cleaning house equipment maintenance and repairs
d) Filter maintenance and repairs

4) Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records for department equipment.

5. Conduct monthly departmental unit meetings for safety, process control, and sanitation. Function as the primary leader in promoting these programs within the department.

6. Participate in the general plant inspection program: a) plant inspections, b) AIB inspections, c) customer audits, and d) regulatory inspections.

7. Direct and monitor the development of department and personnel by overseeing and keeping records of training, job performance and team work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2-4 Years in manufacturing environment in a technical field i.e. engineering or
mechanical
- 2+ Years in manufacturing operations lead role
- Experience in a union facility a plus - High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in milling science or related field a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Microsoft Office software

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
