Acadia Center is seeking a Grants and Relationships Manager to play an integral role in advancing Acadia Center’s engagement with philanthropic foundations and partnerships. The position will work with a team that reports to the president to shape ideas into compelling materials and reports on work and activities. This position will support outreach to foundations, identify and work with diverse project partners (consumer, environmental justice, housing, community, and business voices), manage a grants calendar, and conduct research into prospective foundations. Responsibilities

The position will have four primary areas of responsibility: (1) researching prospective foundations; (2) identifying opportunities to submit proposed work; (3) coordinating grants management; and (4) assisting with preparing foundation proposals and reports.

· Point responsibility will work with president and staff to develop and maintain an up-to-date library of proposal materials that capture current and aspirational project ideas and shape them into proposals, pitches, and letters of inquiry materials to seek funding

· Participate in shaping Acadia Center’s approaches to impact via the creation of compelling materials

· Research and track prospect information with the grants management system and maintain the foundation and grants calendar and portals

· Support president and staff with foundation relationship building

· In conjunction with preparing proposal ideas, work with staff and board members to strengthen partnerships, networks, and visibility, including conducting direct outreach, relationship building, and project ideas development

· Participate with the president and other staff in engaging with potential partners

Skills Sought

· Enthusiasm for Acadia Center’s mission and approach to equitable climate solutions

· Experience with foundation research and materials preparation and with trends in philanthropic foundation giving

· Excellent organizational, grants management, and internal communication skills

· Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines; sets priorities and schedules

· Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills

· Microsoft Office suite is a must

· Experience with Salesforce is a plus

· Strong verbal and written communication; knowledge and appreciation for grammar

· Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively

· Bachelor’s degree expected. Additional experience is a plus

Compensation

Acadia Center compensation is competitive with peer non-profit groups. Compensation levels are expected to range from $60,000 to $75,000, depending on the candidate’s experience and familiarity with needed tasks. The position may be structured as full, part-time, or flex-time. Benefits include health care, dental, retirement, disability, and vacation. Acadia Center remains largely on a remote work schedule with in-office meetings as needed. Position Location: Preference for proximity to Acadia Center office locations in Maine, Boston, Providence, or Hartford, CT. Reports to: President.
