This role in summary
This is a Manager position for SAP Basis responsible for leading Operations, Project Design and Delivery globally reporting to the Global SAP & Core Systems CoE (Center of Excellence) and it’s expected that you contribute to driving innovation across the existing SAP solutions, improve the overall uptime, performance, currency, and resiliency and help build a positive work environment with strong teamwork mentality.
Employees in this role can work a hybrid schedule of three core days in the office and two days remote. This enables employees to come together to collaborate in person and gives employees the added flexibility to work remotely.
Your responsibilities will include
- Facilitates cross-functional standardization of SAP solutions on a global scale, understanding the specifics for each region and shaping it sustainably.
- Participate and support the adoption of global organization programs across different areas proposing roadmaps and influencing the deployment.
- Responsible for developing technology roadmap, managing global service providers, and identifying opportunities for improvement, modernization, and development of cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor Degree
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior SAP Basis Consultant/Architect working with a variety of different SAP products and creating cost-effective SAP highly available architectural solutions in the cloud and on-premise
- 5+ years of experience in coordination and implementation of SAP Installations, Updates, Upgrades, Migrations, Automation, and Performance Tuning
- 5+ years of experience in maintaining and optimizing SAP HANA, SAP ASE, IBM DB2, and SAP MaxDB databases
- 5+ years of experience in maintaining and optimizing Linux and Windows Server highly available (clustered) operating systems
Preferred skills and experiences
- 8+ years of experience as a Senior SAP Basis Consultant/Architect working with a variety of different SAP products
- Practical experience with designing, implementing, or converting SAP products to S/4HANA with a downtime-minimized approach
- Developing and implementing SAP sustainable automation to reduce manual efforts
- Maintaining, designing, and implementing cost-effective and cloud-native SAP architectures in the cloud
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across internal and external organizations
- Innovation-driven mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to modernize and keep SAP solutions current with best-in-class technology
- Stay current with the latest technology and dynamically learn about new SAP solutions and modernization opportunities
- Manage critical Change and Incident management situations
- Seamlessly transition between Operation and Project work models
- Communicating across technical and non-technical audiences
- Maintaining and optimizing existing SAP solutions and resources utilization to reduce the overall spend
- Designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP Backup/Recovery and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Planning and coordinating System Refresh activities for ABAP and JAVA products
- Maintaining and optimizing SUSE and Windows Server clusters best practices for on-premise and cloud solutions
- Maintaining SAP Cloud-based products (SAP Hybris, SAP BTP, and Success Factor) and the interfaces that are required for the backend systems
- Knowledge of SAP DevOps practices and tooling to optimize and safeguard the code deployment easing the review demands
