Client seeks a full-time Geotechnical Laboratory Engineer to be part of its state-of-the-art automated soil testing laboratory in Acton, MA.

You will have a unique opportunity of collaborating with the Client to learn above and beyond geotechnical testing and contribute to our cutting-edge geotechnical Research & Development programs.

Description Of The Job Responsibilities

  • Performing advanced geotechnical laboratory tests using automated systems, as well as contributing to laboratory report preparation and data reduction.
  • Assisting the Lab Managers in managing testing programs, maintaining laboratory facilities, and troubleshooting equipment systems.
  • Assisting the Lab Managers in interfacing with clients to elicit and understand their requirements and propose solutions.
  • Collaborating with the Lab Technical Manager and Client R&D team to be a part of cutting-edge geotechnical research programs.
  • Assisting the lab Managers in the development and delivery of training content.
  • Taking an active role in administering and improving Client internal QC/QA programs.
  • Taking an active role in Improving testing practices and broadening Client testing capabilities.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Passionate in geotechnical laboratory testing and gaining knowledge of soil fundamental behavior
  • Working knowledge of experimental soil mechanics and data analysis/reduction
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, independent as well as a team player.

Preferred Experience

  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Engineering concentration
  • Hands-on experience with soil testing equipment and tools
  • PE License or interest in obtaining.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
