POSITION SUMMARY

The General Ledger Accountant will work closely with the entire accounting team, as well as interacting with other departments to provide the following support::

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with taproom accounting and reporting
    • Work with TR managers to create consistency in Upserve (POS) data
    • Ensure accurate reporting of taproom volume, revenues, and cost of goods sold
    • Support the taproom budgeting process
  • Work with Controller & Assistant Controller to expand knowledge on inventory processes, costing, and analysis
  • Complete personal property tax returns annually
  • Work with Administrative Specialist to facilitate completion of sales & use tax returns monthly.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing
  • Collaborate in preparation of monthly management reports and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives
  • Research and document balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Produce monthly budget updates for various departments, and collaborate with managers to make any necessary adjustments
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Account for fixed assets & prepaid expenses
  • Conduct monthly physical inventory counts and reconciliations to perpetual inventory system
  • Support deployment of internal controls
  • Assist with annual financial statement audit
  • Support accounting and general ledger projects as well as special projects as assigned by management
  • Provide support for A/R and A/P accountants as needed
  • Cover work for other accountants in their absence
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism, positive attitude, and atmosphere of fun that supports a high-trust environment and Odell culture
  • Creates and cultivates an inclusive environment for all guests, co-workers, and the community

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 1-2 years of accounting or related experience
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Accuracy in daily work and other projects
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Team player and have ability to work independently
  • Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions of the Controller and Assistant Controller
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, as well as, experience prolonged sitting.

COMPENSATION

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Odell’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Salary Range:
$50,000 – $65,000/yr depending on experience
