First State is community bank headquartered in Middlebury, Indiana. We have branch offices in Goshen, Elkhart and South Bend. We take the term "Community Bank" to heart. This full-time position is in our Eddy Street Office in South Bend, Indiana. Along with running a teller window every single day, you will be trained to open new accounts for our customers when the Branch Manager is out of the office. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30 am until 5:15 pm.

Here are things that you would do during your work day:

• Provide friendly, caring customer service while opening new accounts for our customers
• Utilize technology to help you and our customers
• Follow instructions and procedures set out by the Bank
• Develop an understanding of our Bank's products and services
• Count money accurately
• Learn new skills such as new systems and procedures

And here are some skills that you will need:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• We really are looking for someone with New Accounts experience in the Banking Industry
• Friendly personality, positive attitude and professional image
• Ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and age groups
• Proven customer service skills
• Ability to successfully complete our in-house training program
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness and ability to adjust to a change in work schedule with adequate notice

The position offers good working conditions and environment. You must be able to lift and move coin bags weighing up to 25 pounds. You may be sitting or standing for long periods of time during your day.
