The Bookkeeper/Operations Manager’s primary focus is to provide bookkeeping management for a small business, working closely with the CEO of the company on growth potential.

The ideal candidate will have accounting and bookkeeping knowledge as follows:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • vendor/contractor relationships, verifying bills/invoices/fees and approving payments.
  • AR collections based on the AR aging reports
  • managing expense reimbursement reports and timely billing back to clients
  • take charge of monthly budget report and monitor the business cash flow
  • manage staff workload and timesheets; approve the payroll report, PTO and employee benefits

In addition this position will include managing operations based on an overview of the industry and how it relates to the vision of the CEO. The person in this position may be required to assist the CEO during communication with current and potential clients and will manage the initial deal process: memos, pricing and scheduling of payments.

This requires the ability to manage time effectively, setting and meeting deadlines while maintaining the quality of work.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial strategy recommendations to CEO/Principal
  • Identify and address potential financial risks for the company.
  • Implement strategies and systems to improve financial performance.
  • Review financial reports and determine methods to reduce costs.
  • Work closely with HR and independent accounting manager.

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks online or similar accounting and payroll systems
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field, preferably with retained clients
  • A proven track record of streamlining financial operations
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Social Media
