Position Summary:
The Frontline Trainer is a key position within our manufacturing plants and supports our production team leads as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards. The Associate in this role will help drive efficiencies and associate retention by developing, training and coaching associates on the line on standard operating procedures. Position is responsible for training and integration of new associates into the bistro environment. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.

What you will Do:
  • Conducts an on boarding session using a PowerPoint presentation on their 1st day including GMPs, Safety, and the environment.
  • Ensures all associates receive the necessary on-boarding and refresher training, in cooperation with department supervisors (QA & Bistro)
  • Trains assigned associates while utilizing effective training techniques, such as new associates' orientation, on-the-job training, health and safety practices, etc.
  • Follows & maintains HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & processes
  • Performs/assists with annual training needs, making recommendations based on opportunities
  • Ensures that adequate lesson plans/materials are available
  • Maintains records (training sign in sheets and development status of trainees)
  • Understands yield standards
  • Works safely around moving equipment & conveyors in wet environment
  • Performs appropriate instructional procedures or methods
  • Ensures new, transferred/returning associates receive appropriate department- or equipment-specific training.
  • Understands how to maintain a safe work environment
  • Comply with SQF Regulatory Programs
  • Performs assessment of all new temps and associates
  • Assists with improvement of the facility's general orientation/induction program
  • Investigates and keeps updated of alternative training methods
  • Assists with tracking of all training records and required training needs
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • GED/High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Reading, Writing, Speaking English
  • Comprehension of basic math
  • Training experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Ability to use a computer (MS Office and Google Suite)
  • Ability to communicate (verbally & in writing to complete required documentation)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to climb stairs numerous times a day.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Ability to understand plant KPIs (production, quality, safety, and our processes)
