Millbrook Equine, a well-established ambulatory equine veterinary practice located in the beautiful Hudson Valley, is looking for an organized, cheerful, people-focused client services receptionist/ administrative assistant to join our team on a full-time (preferred) or part-time basis.

This position is ideal for an enthusiastic self-starter, as you will be working without direct supervision in support of our wonderful clientele and the rest of the equine care team. While the primary focus of this role is in direct customer service – answering phones, booking appointments, and addressing questions, you will be responsible for other in-house light technical duties such as processing lab work.

A true motivation to provide excellent customer service is essential for this role, as is the ability to learn and use a variety of computer software applications and the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a highly collaborative team. Basic horse knowledge is mandatory, and previous experience in a veterinary or other reception-related role is an asset. We are looking for someone who is eager to pick up the phone and make a client’s experience exceptional.

This is a weekday (Monday-Friday) role and in order to be considered for this role, you must be able to commit to either opening or closing the office on a daily basis (8:00am or 5:00pm, respectively).
