Connecticut GI, a division of GI Alliance is looking for a full time Team Lead for our New London Care Center.

Alongside the Assistant Regional Manager/Site Supervisor, the Team Lead will provide support to the Care Center with such things as: responding to patient inquiries, resolving care center issues and overseeing schedules. These responsibilities will be in addition to the primary administrative or clinical role currently being performed by the Team Lead.


Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Resolve patient problems or complaints. Escalate to site supervisor if needed.
    • Change provider templates in EPIC as appropriate
    • Monitor infusion coverage for any issues and resolve or escalate problem as needed
    • View openings in providers’ schedules (especially endo blocks) and send email to fill
    • Email central scheduling when cancellations come from endo centers, especially when SS is traveling or has limited email access
    • Pass along any personnel or provider issues within the care center to the site supervisor
    • Take inventory and order office supplies
    • Unpack office supplies when they come in and put away
    • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient in EPIC

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years related experience required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in a medical office, front office or scheduling experience.

Requirements for Level III Status:

  • Should be a leader and viewed as a leader by other staff.
  • No performance or disciplinary actions in last year.
  • Serves as mentor/trainer for new hires in field.
  • Considered as subject-matter expert in areas by peers, management, and physicians.

Performance Requirements:

  • Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer programs and applications.
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately.
  • Skill in operating office equipment
  • Skill in handling paperwork/filing adequately.
  • Skill in handling incoming phone calls and triaging appropriately.
  • Skill in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to learn/use other computer programs including Microsoft Excel, e-mail, Internet, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems.
  • Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
