Position Summary
InDemand Services is seeking a careful forklift operator to move packages and material around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces, and other facilities.
You must be a responsible individual with significant experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that materials and products will always be in the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.
Essential Functions
Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
Operating and managing technical equipment.
Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
Identifying workplace safety hazards.
Adhering to safety management standards.
Adhering to production schedules.
Other duties can be assigned
Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Proven experience as forklift operator
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
Excellent physical condition and coordination
Valid certification to operate forklifts
High school diploma
Physical Demands
Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 40 pounds regularly
Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 60 pounds occasionally
Walking frequently
Driving frequently
Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and squatting frequently
Regularly required to speak, see, and hear
