COMPENSATION

  • $100,000-115,000 per year depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY

Directs and coordinates activities of production function in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan function operations.
  • Ensure the operation flow, environment and equipment complying with company policy, regulation with best efficiency.
  • Identify and implement continues improvement opportunities to increase quality and efficiency from daily operation activities with other teams by applying Lean Six Sigma techniques, and follow thru the action plans.
  • Manage the human and material resources needed for production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products to ensure production and products are produced on time, of good quality and meets specifications.
  • Review production and operating reports and resolves operational and manufacturing problems to ensure production is cost effective and efficient.
  • Develop improvement plans on process/product non-conformances and implement and follow thru the improvement plans to achieve KPIs.
  • Perform production stock inventory control to achieve FIFO, zero error, allergen segregation
  • Perform/supervise routine cycle count & 6 monthly count on raw & pack mat under production facilities
  • Work with supervisors in implementing the company’s policies and goals to ensure the health and safety guidelines, GMPs, SSOP, and ISO procedures are followed.
  • Professionally and effectively communicate and interact with auditors and inspectors with any internal and external audits and inspections; respond to their requests timely.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of floor production staff and supervisors to achieve company objectives in productivity, safety, quality, cost reduction, etc.
  • Identify and provides trainings to production staff periodically.
  • Set KRIs and review performance of subordinates.
  • Resolve employee conflicts/complaints timely and fairly without any type of discriminations or retaliations; submit unsettled complaints/issues to VP, Manufacturing and/or Human Resources for further actions in a timely manner.
  • Coach and discipline employees timely by following the company policies/procedures whenever necessary.
  • Assist VP, Manufacturing to prepare annual budget for production function.
  • Compile, store, and retrieve production data; analyze data whenever necessary for investigation, corrective action, and improvement opportunity purposes.
  • Collaborate with other LKK manufacturing facilities on special assignment to achieve global manufacturing objectives
  • Work closely with other functions on ad-hoc projects/improvement plans to achieve high quality, cost efficiency and on-time delivery objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Operational Management, Industrial Engineering, Food Science or related field required.
  • Minimum five years related production management experience in food ingredient-mixing manufacturing industry.
  • Experienced in LEAN, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management (Quality Assurance/Control) and similar productivity and preventative maintenance tools and methodologies are required.
  • Certified in Lean Six-Sigma, APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and/or Certified in Planning & Inventory Management (CPIM) are highly preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding leadership and coaching skills and capabilities.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, auditors, inspectors and other business partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; SAP/ERP is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Chinese is a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
