POSITION SUMMARY

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for daily supervision of restaurant and banquet staff, guest service and liquor law compliance alongside of Food and Beverage Management Team. Supervises selling and serving guests in safe and efficient compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. Supervises guest checks and payment collection in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management. Complies with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags and proper guest greeting. Knowledgeable on hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate. Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices and regulations. Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.

Essential Functions:

-Daily supervision and direction of outlet/banquet service staff. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality standards for outlets. Interacts with guests to ensure a positive guest experience.

- Ensure new associates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve job expectations. Evaluate the staff’s job performance and make recommendations as necessary. Clearly communicate to associates the standards of performance and their role in contributing to individual and team

- Ensure that meals are being served in a professional and timely manner by circulating within the outlet and communicating with the kitchen and the order takers. Handle guest complaints. Monitor and supervise set up and maintenance of room service area to ensure that it is up to standard.

- Ensure availability of manpower, supplies, and equipment to ensure a positive guest experience.

- Assist in scheduling, supervision and control of hosts, servers, bus attendants, bartenders and housepersons.

- Assist in the completion of reports on production and necessary requisitions. Assist in regulation of distribution of necessary supplies including daily/weekly purchasing.

- Supervise and assist with the set-up of assigned catered functions, ensuring that the hotel’s standards are met, and advance preparation for service is adequate to allow efficient service to the guest once the function begins.

- Ensure the correct and timely set up of all Banquet Event Order functions.

- Inspect the sanitation of all function space and storage areas to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the department.

- Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and organized manner stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for meetings or food service functions.

- Monitor breakdown after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.

- Supervise service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service.

- Assist leadership to establish and monitor sidework duty completion.

- Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up. Check service stands and aisle areas. Check tables for cleanliness and proper set up.

- Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.

- Perform and supervise the staff’s compliance with consistent safe and sanitary food and beverage handling and serving. Monitor and control maintenance/sanitation of the restaurant and equipment. Supervise adherence to all safety protocols.

- Perform and supervise preparation of guest checks and collection of payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures.

- Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory as assigned.

- Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.

- Comply with policies and procedures. Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures. Communicate with leadership regarding any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned.

 Attend department meetings as scheduled.

 Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates.

- Perform duties of servers, host(ess), houseperson, busser or dining room attendant as needed.

- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
