The Floral Workroom Supervisor will be responsible for the execution of the floral and décor department for Stroudsmoor Country Inn. The responsibilites include the production for weddings, special events, retail sales, and the required facility arrangements. The desired goal and mission for the floral department is to design and sell excellent quality floral and décor while creating a stress-free environment for clients to plan their event.

Essential Duties

• With the Floral Manager, conduct weekly staff meeting to review the responsibilities of each contract.
• Supervise staff members during the production and execution process.
• Ensure overall flawless execution of the contracts and exeed our customer's expectations.
• Create a Team atmosphere in a safe productive environment.

General Duties

• Lead the floral team in the DSDR, (Design-Production, Set up, Delivery, and Retrieval) starting with a weekly meeting.
• Produce flora and hard good designs using fresh, silk, and dried florals.
• Order supplies and materials as needed.
• Make bucket labels for incoming flowers.
• Monitor and respond to floral shortages and work with the Floral Manager to order additional flowers and replacements when necessary.
• Follow the guidelines of the Employee Handbook and recommendations from the Safety Committee.
• Report to work in a professional manner. This position requires a professional look.
• Ability to lift and carry 45 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to consistantly work with the use of ladders in both an indoor and outdoor environment and having a clean driving record is reqeuired.

Schedule

• Typically, Wednesday thru Sunday 9am - 5pm.
• Must be present for wedding samplings held throughout the year.
• Must be available to assist during most holidays. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the Stroudsmoor is closed.
