We're seeking data-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individuals to join our Flooring Category Management team. This Category Associate will be supporting the growth of Wayfair’s North American Flooring business which includes Tile, Moulding & Millwork, Wall Panelling, Peel & Stick & Decking.

Category Associates will have the opportunity to gain experience in core functional areas at the center of our customer experience and contribute directly to the growth and success of the company. As part of Category Management, this person will serve as the external and internal ambassador of these product categories we manage, mobilizing and coaching suppliers on how to grow their business on our sites, and leveraging internal partners to execute the strategic vision to win in the online home space. What You’ll Do:

  • Support Flooring category plan
  • Analyze data, trends, and create reporting to examine business trends, execute key initiatives, and consult on actions to optimize performance and sales. Key metrics include revenue, availability, conversion, and inventory turns.
  • Develop new opportunities for suppliers to expand assortment and grow their businesses
  • Work cross-functionally by building strong partnerships to create synergies and streamline work streams across merchandising, promotions, marketing, on-trend product selection, effective pricing and profitability, and operational excellence channels
  • Establish supplier relationships to successfully negotiate a premium customer experience
  • Represent Wayfair as an ambassador in offsite events

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree earned by date of hire
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to persuade and negotiate
  • Analytical mindset able to process large volumes of data using a variety of reporting tools (Excel, SQL, etc.)
  • Ability to distill complex information in a simplistic way via emails, charts, graphs, and other forms of presentations
  • Passionate about execution with strong interest to drive customer engagement
  • Desire to thrive as part of a team and individually
  • Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment with little structure
  • Strong management and prioritization skills
