Chevron is accepting online applications for the Floating Systems Advisor, Engineer position through March 31, 2023at 11:59 p.m. (CST).

Provides Marine expertise support to major capital projects and marine operations. Responsible for understanding regulations and operations in a marine environment.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide functional F(P)SO engineering or cargo technical support in consultation with FPSO Marine Manager. Primarily support, but not limited to Chevron Nigeria and Chevron Angola (CABGOC) Integrity Management, Floating System Integrity Manager, and Marine Terminals Team.
  • Provide marine advice or work as a team member of a multi–functional team for larger projects or as a team lead for small projects. Identify and apply technology to solve problems in F(P)SO marine operations.
  • Provide support across the Enterprise to the Chevron Floating Systems Standards through the Floating Systems CoP and interaction with the BU’s.
  • Provide functional engineering guidance to CSC seconded marine personnel assigned on FPSO’s or in marine shoreside support of FPSO’s.
  • Support organizational capability and competency to BU’s for FPSO marine operations as required.
  • Conduct operational reviews of FPSO marine operations using industry and base business protocols as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education bachelor’s degree in marine engineering.
  • Quantified experience 10+ years in marine systems.
  • Strong capabilities and working experience in Marine Engineering with emphasis on Asset Integrity of floating systems facilities (oil and gas) such as FLNG, FSRU, FPSO, FSO, tanker and LNGC.
  • Work experience with marine standards and regulations with floating oil and gas facilities, tank vessels and gas carriers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Maintenance and/or operational experience of marine floating facilities (oil, gas) and tanker /LNGCs.
  • Asset Integrity systems employed on offshore floating facilities.
  • Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, etc.

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
