Financial Coordinator Job at Oral Surgery Partners

Columbia Oral Surgery is looking for a motivated individual to join our team!
Location: 1000 W Nifong Blvd, Bldg 4, Suite 100, Columbia, MO 65203
Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30AM-4:30PM
Responsibilities:
- Complete patient charts
- Assist patient coordinators as needed (check in/out, phones, charting, etc.)
- Understand and adhere to all insurance referral guidelines
- Work with patient’s needs to offer various financial planning options
- Generate pre-treatment estimates for patients as requested
- Input patient information along with notes into the dental system
- Post personal payments
- Prepare and send weekly correspondence to patients and referring doctors
- Answer phones and schedule patients
- Prepare daily bank deposit
- Present treatment plans to patients at consultation appointments
- Maintain all patient recall
Skills & Abilities:
- Detailed understanding of dental and medical insurance processes including COB and prior-authorization
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must work well in a close team environment
- Understanding and fabricating cost estimates
- Excellent computer/typing skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and reading skills
- Understanding of medical/dental terminology
