Role Summary

Provides budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis including consolidation, reporting and analysis along with research and communication of variances and key drivers. Completes a wide range of analyses for the finance team in support of the business or key finance functions. Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and analytical skills as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Functions

Planning & Forecasting:

• Support finance partners during budgeting, forecasting and reporting cycles applying modelling, forecasting and planning techniques

Reporting:

• Analyze financial reports and records to include in financial studies and various management reports.
• Prepare financial, statistical and variance reports. Build and monitor metrics or key indicators against criteria for success.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities as needed.
• Participate in monthly reconciliation reviews as needed to ensure that accounts are accurate.
• Assist in the preparation of internal & external financial statements

Performance Management:

• Gathers data to contribute to building financial performance metrics to include utilization of resources, efficiency metrics, dashboards and/or profitability reporting.
• Update analyses to drive better investment decisions and optimal resource allocation.
• Provide input and analytical support for business/investment/synergy cases, pricing scenarios and/or billing.
• Analyze the details/drivers behind key P&L lines (sales, gross margin, inventory, etc.).

Reporting Relationship

• Typically reports to a Manager or Director

Minimum Qualifications

• Typically 0-2 years related professional experience in finance or related field
• Understanding of financial and statistical reporting, design, preparation of financial models.
• Some experience with ERP and ERM systems (e.g. Hyperion, Oracle Financials, OneStream), advanced excel preferred.
• BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent. Additional experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
• Publicly-traded, high-growth technology companies preferred
