Finance Associate Job at Tandym Group
An alternative investment firm located in New York City is actively seeking a driven and team-oriented Finance Associate to join their staff. In this role, the Finance Associate will assist the Controller in all financial reporting and control responsibilities across the company.
Responsibilities
The Finance Associate will:
- Perform monthly cash reconciliations
- Record quarterly revenues and expenses
- Oversee all accounts payable and receivable functions
- Ensure invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental process and procedures
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Work with external auditors on the annual company audit other interim period review
- Assist in preparation of periodic presentation for the management and board meetings
- Gather/record all information for tax estimates/K-1s
- Implement financial operation controls
- Participate in implementation of financial systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5+ years of Financial Accounting experience
- Sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC accounting/reporting requirements
- Knowledge of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
