Summary/Objective:


The Field Service Mechanic will be responsible for repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, mobile crane equipment, and various types of forklifts. The primary focus is on the service and repair of the equipment.


The geographic areas covered will be in Denver, CO.


Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time.


Responsibilities:


  • Repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment, as well as various types of forklifts, with a primary focus on the service and repair of said equipment.
  • Must have a strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems.
  • Has at least 3 - 5 years of experience in mechanical diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile crane equipment.
  • Will be on-call nights and weekends for crane repairs at customer’s job sites.
  • Must be able to travel on short notice and be gone overnight, sometimes for several days.
  • Must communicate effectively and professionally with customers, supervisors, and other personnel.
  • Knowledge and experience in assembling and disassembling various crawler cranes are a plus but not required.
  • Able to read schematics (both hydraulic and electrical).
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Educational Requirements/Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years (s) of experience repairing and maintaining rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane construction equipment; vocational training may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Perform annual certifications and inspections.
  • Ability to perform tasks independently without direct supervision.
  • Computer literate with the ability to process information.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.
  • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting various equipment lines, including Manitowoc, Grove, Terex, Tadano, Broderson, Kobelco, and Liebherr cranes.
  • A history of safe work habits.
  • Hard worker with a great attitude.
  • Must supply own hand tools and keep up-to-date tool inventory of service trucks.
  • Have a clean driving record and can drive a company service truck. Must keep trucks clean and maintained.
  • A high school diploma is required and higher education, including vocational training, is a plus.

Pay Range:

$35.00 to $38.00 per hour.
