A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

As a Field Service Engineer at our sustainable technology company, you repair, install, troubleshoot, inspect, and modify our equipment at customer sites and in our workshop. You provide excellent services by assessing customer needs regarding maintenance, spare parts, modernization, and improvements. The technical support you provide is exceptional for employees and customers alike. This includes accurately reading blueprints and updating our CRM (customer relationship management) system as well as organizing and delivering training programs to customers and employees. As a representative of our company, you create positive relationships with customers and assist them in planning for future services. You also get to work on special projects such as product development, sales visits to customers or vendors, and equipment demonstrations. Knowing that you are providing valuable service to our customers gives you a sense of pride!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

• Associate's degree in engineering, robotics, or a related field OR equivalent training or experience in a field of technology such as electrical or mechanical
• 3+ years of assembly, maintenance, or repair experience for industrial equipment
• Ability to work closely and efficiently with fellow workers and customers

This position includes up to 75% travel within the U.S. and Canada with occasional travel to Mexico and Europe!

Knowledge about vacuum coaters and previous field service experience are preferred, but many factors will be taken into consideration. Do you have good organizational and time management skills?
