About us

This is a year round indoor year round farm that is a woman owned business that has been around for the last 3 years. I am the owner, my name is Dea (pronounced Day-uh). I have been the primary owner and operator and am wanting to expand and am unable to do so without help. My farm's mission is to produce year round nutrient dense foods in order to benefit the health of people and the planet. The farm is located in Vancouver but the markets so far are in Portland.

Seeking an early bird people person to be the sole market attendant at two farmers markets a week on Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday market begins at 8:00 AM so load up starts around 6:15. The Sunday Market begins at 10:00.

Tasks include:

-Arriving at the farm’s location (Orchards, Vancouver) early to pack live microgreens.

-Driving company van (1977 Chevy) to the market.

-Market setup.

-Live ready-to-order harvest of the greens in a timely manner

-Package the greens neatly.

-Collect payment and care for money and credit card reader

-Provide good customer service

-Be friendly and engaging

-Tally totals

-Pack up and unload trays at farm.

-Follow the market’s procedures and maintain a good relationship with the market’s management.

-Maintain a clean work station

-Post 1 instagram post & story per market

The ideal candidate will:

-have a strong interest in healthy food, sustainability, the local food system, supporting local, and being an integral and irreplaceable part of the creation process of a small business.

-be fairly confident this is something they will be interested in staying at for at least 6 months.

-Customer service/sales experience would be amazing.

-Friendly & personable

-has the ability to work solo and problem solve if necessary.

-okay working outside in all kinds of weather (heat, rain, wind, etc.)

-have a valid drivers license and clean driving record (you will be added to our commercial insurance policy and they check your record)

-comfortable driving a large vehicle

-fast to learn new skills– you will have to learn how to harvest microgreens in a timely way

Pay is $15.75/hour + tips + possible sales bonuses. After 6 months the rate will go to 16.25 and a yearly 75 cent raise can be negotiated with quality work. We are a growing business so will likely have more opportunities for working different tasks, both on and off the farm. I am hoping to do interviews over the next couple of weeks and training can begin relatively quickly. Reach out should you have any questions.
