Recruitment

  • Work with the local community and community based organizations and to assess and provide materials and services within the grant interventions for the local community. Also recruitment of FSC families to receive services.
  • Distribute program marketing materials and enrollment applications
  • Recruit and enroll program participants to meet the grants designated families / persons to be serviced.
  • Recruit and interview staff members, including Vista’s, AmeriCorps members, and staff positions at the FSC sites
  • Participate with school county Board of Education administrators in assessing student and family needs.
  • Provide the direct service interventions to the service area and families.
  • Recruit volunteers and donated materials needed for the operation of the FSC’s.

Program Management

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the program
  • Supervise and coach staff members
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings
  • Maintain high visibility at the FSC program sites
  • Ensure safety and supervision of staff members and volunteers
  • Ensure shared facility spaces are well-maintained and left as found
  • Ensure smooth implementation of daily activities and compliance with approved program structure
  • Ensure accurate distribution and accounting of FSC materials
  • Coordinate with other Step by Step, Inc. programs and initiatives, as appropriate
  • Coordinate with site-based Family support services, as appropriate
  • Participate in all meetings, trainings, and activities organized by the SBS Directors as invited / needed
  • Comply with all Step by Step and host site policies and procedures

Communication and Collaboration

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, community-based services, principals, teachers, etc…
  • Be directly supervised by the Executive Director(s) and receive general supervision from supervisors as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain positive community relations
  • Provide program orientation, encourage involvement, and maintain monthly contact with family members
  • Provide monthly family education workshops, services, and special events in collaboration with SBS ASP sites and community-based organizations
  • Respond promptly and courteously to community concerns and or complaints and immediately notify program directors / executive director(s)
  • Meet at least monthly with SBS and other administrative teams
  • Maintain posts and communication with the community via SBS FSC social media platforms.
  • Participate in LSIC and school leadership team meetings, as appropriate
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations, public agencies, local universities, city agencies, local businesses, and other collaborators

Data Collection and Reporting

  • Maintain FRC Database and generate reports upon request
  • Submit all required documentation in accordance with established guidelines and on a timely basis
  • Submit monthly student attendance reports
  • Submit monthly student food reports
  • Review staff timesheets and submit bi-weekly
  • Conduct assessments and surveys as instructed
  • Coordinate evaluations and process the data, including surveys of students, staff, parents, and partners
