We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facility Technician to become a valuable member of our team. The perfect candidate will possess a diverse background in general maintenance and possess fundamental understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. With your expertise and attention to detail, you will help ensure that our facilities are in top condition and provide a pleasant environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address any issues or areas in need of improvement.
  • Ensure that all areas of the studio are clean, well-maintained, and comply with building code and health and safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to any facility-related issues or concerns raised by staff or members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facility-related issues are addressed in a timely manner, and to plan and execute any necessary repairs or renovations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of facility maintenance and repair activities.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in facility management to continuously improve the studio's facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems, and implement solutions as needed
  • Perform both preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and make repairs as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
  • Coordinate with outside contractors as needed for larger projects or specialized repairs
  • Assist with the maintenance of the facility’s equipment and machinery including workout equipment (treadmills, rowers, bikes and striders).
  • Continuously strive for excellence in facility management to ensure the studio's facilities are always at their best for members and staff.
  • Flexibility for scheduled overnight work and on-call for emergency repairs

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 5+ years of experience in general maintenance, with a focus on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
    • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
    • Skills in basic carpentry, tile, drywall, flooring, electrical, and plumbing developed through 1-3 years of on-the-job experience.
    • Skills with basic electronics and machinery repair and maintenance, such as fitness equipment, developed through 1-3 years on-the-job experience.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Skills with basic electronics and machinery repair and maintenance, such as fitness equipment, developed through 1-3 years on-the-job experience.
    • Capable of handling/moving equipment in excess of 100 lbs.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
    • Must be willing to work on-call and during non-business hours
    • Knowledge of fitness equipment maintenance is a plus
