We have an opening for a lead CNC machinist with 10 years or more job shop experience, at least 5 years of that in aerospace. We are looking for someone strong in milling but who also has lathe experience. Mastercam programming experience would add value.

We run YCM lathes and mills with Fanuc controls. We also run Fadal mills.

The ideal candidate will understand GD&T, be able to calculate feeds and speeds and tool depths for all tools in a variety of aerospace materials, understand canned cycles, how to verify and measure runout, set tool offsets, set work offsets, indicate hole centers. The candidate would want to work 40 hours per week and be able/willing to work occasional overtime as needed.

We are a smaller, AS9100 certified job shop specializing in precision aerospace and medical products. We specialize in high precision, short run, quick turn jobs. Our primary customer is Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

We are looking for someone highly motivated, reliable, quality driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Due to ITAR requirements, proof of US Citizenship is required.

We are offering above average pay for above average skill- and are very happy to pay it.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have CNC Job Shop experience- short runs, frequent tear downs and set ups with high precision.

Must be a team player and take direction well. Must be able and willing to follow established procedures.

Must understand how to set the correct feeds and speeds for various materials and tools.

Must be able to read blueprints and understand GD&T,-- drafting/ programming experience a plus.

Must be able to determine correct tooling,- design and build fixtures, perform setups; load and set tool offsets, set and modify work offsets.

Must be able to read and modify G-Code (Mastercam Programming a big plus).

Must be able to work with minimum supervision and help meet quality and on-time delivery requirements.

Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Must be able to maintain a clean and well organized work area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
