POSITION SUMMARY

MEPPI's Diamond Vision Division (DVD) is looking for an Executive Sales Manager to manage the Sales Department to the strategic objectives, sales plans and business plans established for the Diamond Vision Systems Division. In addition the sucessful candidate will manage the development and execution of sales, channel and customer relationship management strategies to consistently achieve annual and long-term Division growth objectives as well as company goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manage sales activities for DVD including managing the Market Sales Managers and appropriate external sales representatives, resellers, distributors and related partners.
  • Develop and maintain C-level and high-level executive contacts and relationships at customer organizations and with key industry personnel. Represent DVD with industry related organizations and agencies.
  • Lead the sales channel and Division staff in developing strategies for developing new markets, closing sales and achieving the profit and sales objectives of the division. Track and report performance of sales efforts against sales goals.
  • Lead Department personnel according to Company policies and procedures to effectively achieve Company objectives. Develop employees by training, cross-training, and providing continuing education opportunities. Conduct performance reviews and provide input for salary and incentive decisions.
  • Collaborate with DVD department managers and their personnel, division suppliers and factories to pursue and close sales opportunities and achieve Division objectives.
  • Identify and recommend changes and improvements to division strategy, policy, products, product development and procedures, and product launch to the General Manager as appropriate.
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations and demonstrations for Division products and services.
  • Lead contract negotiations for new sales orders in accordance with MEPPI corporate policies
  • Monitor, analyze and report on customer, market and competitor activity and develop related recommendations to ensure business and sales plans are achieved.
  • Identify and select appropriate industry conferences and trade shows for DVD participation. Direct the planning and execution aspects of DVD’s participation and trade show events.
  • Support the advancement and commitment to Salesforce for the Division as needed.
  • Manage marketing function for project sales. Develop marketing plans and strategies in coordination with the General Manager and Corporate Marketing and oversee the design and development of advertising programs and marketing communications.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of MEPPI through effective dealings with customers and other internal departments and divisions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business with a minimum 10 years of professional experience in selling business-to-business products and a minimum 3 years of sales or marketing management experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills required to communicate with employees and customers.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize activities and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and materials.
  • Demonstrated ability of building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively executing across all functions and levels of an organization.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and CRM tools.
