Position Overview

Our Everett, WA location is hiring a permanent, full-time truck driver to support our manufacturing facilities in both Everett, WA and Chilliwack, BC. As a newly developed role, we anticipate this position working 3-5 days/week, based on business demand. This is a regional (local) flatbed run to areas such as Sumas, Marysville, Bothell, Issaquah, Tacoma, Kent, Seattle waterfront, with potential cross border to our Chilliwack, BC facility. With local, daily drives, you will be home with your family every night.

The ideal candidate will be a team player and committed to supporting great service to our internal and external clients. They will bring experience and confidence in their driving ability and be willing to help in any way they can to support the company goals.

Responsibilities:

· Deliver, pick up and distribute building material products to customers, suppliers and Woodtone partners.

· Ensure safe loading, handling, and transportation of materials and heavy cargo.

· Drive truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.

· Complete necessary paperwork and relay any customer questions or complaints to supervisor. Inspect truck for any defects or problems that might arise before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.

· Maintain logs and records according to D.O.T. regulations.

· Assist associates in loading and unloading trucks or building loads as needed and securing loads to Woodtone standards.

· Maintain a clean, well-maintained truck to service and maintenance schedules and procedures. Ensure vehicle is in safe operating condition, including service with fuel, oil, & water.

· Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications:

· Must have a valid Class “A” Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and possess the ability to safely operate transportation equipment (i.e., tractor/trailer combinations).

· Minimum two years' (CDL) flatbed experience required

· Clean driver’s abstract

· Including but not limited to, knowledge of loading procedures, weight distribution, belly strapping and transporting heavy building products

· Transporting of building materials (Lumber, Fiber Cement, both Raw and Finished) goods preferred

· Forklift experience is an asset

· Must be able to understand and communicate safety and other work-related instructions clearly and accurately (verbal and written).

· Must have working knowledge of Federal DOT regulations and meet Woodtone driver qualifications

· Comfortable performing duties in all weather conditions and seasons.

· Must have the ability to travel back and forth from Canada to the United States.
