Events Coordinator's duties to include but not be limited to: Rounding on families to evaluate needs, Collecting donations, and Planning and Assisting with alll Levine Children's Hospital events.

Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) has taken the community to another level of service in order to provide care for the growing population of children in our region. At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high patient acuity as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 25 different pediatric specialties. There are 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU (including Cardiac ICU), an 85-bed NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility. Levine Children’s also has the region’s first 24/7 emergency room just for kids, staffed by doctors trained in pediatric emergency medicine. LCH has repeatedly been ranked among the “Best Children’s Hospitals” in the nation by US News & World Report.

Job Summary

Assists leadership in coordinating events and group visits. Coordinates a dynamic program to interact with and facilitate visits within the hospital. Interfaces with the community and may serve as a contact for media and community relations.


Essential Functions

  • Coordinates events, group visits and donation deliveries.
  • Communicates with community groups in a timely manner and gathers the appropriate visit documentation.
  • Promotes, schedules and confirms group visits.
  • Maintains open communication with all necessary departments to ensure successful events.
  • Ensures patients that participate in events where media is invited have appropriate consent forms signed by parents or guardians.
  • Coordinates any donation delivery and distribution.
  • Maintains regular communication with the website and social media sites designed to share donation, event and group visit stories and pictures.
  • Promotes a safe environment and performs all work related job responsibilities in a safe manner.


Physical Requirements

Work requires walking, sitting, lifting and reaching. Must lift a minimum of 15 lbs. to shoulder height. Intact sense of sight and hearing is required.


Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Computer skills with word processing, databases and spreadsheets preferred. Positive and effective skills working with children and adults preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Good organizational and time management skills are required.
