Position Purpose: We're seeking an enthusiastic and organized Event Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you'll collaborate with our Events Manager to support the coordination, procurement, and vendor management of exciting events such as golf tournaments, conventions, and committee and council meetings. You'll assist with event registration and guest management, as well as play a key role in fostering member engagement and collaboration. Job Functions:

Support the Events Manager with event coordination, procurement process, and vendor management of the major events of the chapter, including but not limited to the Annual Business Meeting, Summer Convention, various golf tournaments, and Committee and Council meetings.

Support the strategic direction of the Events Manager and in collaboration with Marketing and Communications, ensure that events are successfully promoted to the appropriate target communities.

In collaboration with the Events Manager and Products/Services and Marketing Manager, develop a solicitation strategy for event support through in-kind donations, ticket sales and advertising.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with event guest registration and track sponsorship.

· Must be able to accurately manage event RSVPs, data pulls, and assist with event mailings.

· Have above average proofreading skills and be able to assist with the production of event signage and communications.

· Stay knowledgeable and up to date on new vendors and creative event ideas to generate a cost-efficient and engaging donor experience.

· Create and execute post-event surveys; consolidate feedback and report on guest experience.

· Adhere to the department budget, track, and verify all expenses, and reconcile with finance.

· Ensure that events are successfully promoted to the appropriate target communities in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.

· Participate in related meetings and events, which may occur in the evenings and/or on weekends.

· Promote partnership and collaboration with various departments within AGC.

· Manage outside vendors and logistical needs with Facilities for various events.

Qualifications:

· Demonstrate experience in event planning, marketing, or related field with references.

· Minimum of High School Diploma, however extra consideration will be given to candidates who hold a bachelor's degree.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills are required.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Candidate must be comfortable working with all types of members, staff, and the general public in this role.

· Candidate must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, while collaborating with their manager, AGC staff and members.

· Must be comfortable and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines which can change frequently.

· Must be able to demonstrate a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and be willing to learn how to use various event management software.

· Must have some experience with the overall logistics of setting up an event.

Compensation Package Includes:

The salary range for a full-time Events Specialist at AGC is typically $45,000 - $60,000. There are a number of factors AGC considers when making the final decision and include, but are not limited to, the applicants experience in this role, education, time in profession, and reference verifications.

AGC offers several generous benefits to a full-time employee. Salary Range: $52,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

Position Purpose: Responsible for providing support to the events manager, supporting large events, lead for three golf tournaments, and registration lead for all events.

Job Functions:

This position provides consistent and professional support to the Events Manager with event coordination, procurement process, and vendor management of the major events of the chapter, including but not limited to the Annual Business Meeting, Summer Convention, various golf tournaments, and Committee and Council meetings. This position requires acute attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy work environment while working with other team members within the department.

*Assist in event guest registration and track sponsorship and ticket sales using various Microsoft Suite programs.

*Ability to think ahead and learn to determine needs of the business for regularly scheduled events.

*Accurately manage event RSVPs, data pulls, and assist with event mailings and other official correspondence.

*In collaboration with the Events Manager and Products/Services and Marketing Manager, develop a solicitation strategy for event support through in-kind donations, ticket sales and advertising.

*Have solid proofreading skills to review final drafts and assist with the production of event collateral: Invitations, auction booklets, banners, posters, event signage, name badges, table tents, etc.

*Stay knowledgeable and be proactive in order to stay up to date on new vendors and creative event ideas to generate a cost efficient and engaging member experience.

*Manage the budget, follow, and verify all expenses and reconcile with department budgets by their respective due dates.

*Support the strategic direction of the Events Manager and in collaboration with Marketing and Communications, ensure that events are successfully promoted to the appropriate target communities.

*Must be able to participate in related meetings and events, which may occur in the evenings and/or on weekends.

*Must be able to manage personal commitments and time off requests around mandatory chapter events.

*Promote partnership and collaboration with various departments and be willing to assist outside of your regular duties from time to time at the request of your manager.

*Manage outside vendors and logistical needs from IT and Facilities for various events as needed.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

Minimum requirements include having a High School Diploma or GED, and a minimum of three years of event production experience. This does not have to be in the Construction Industry. Must have solid interpersonal skills which you have acquired in previous roles and be able to work with a diverse group of members and take direction from chapter staff. Must have a high attention to detail and a willingness to change direction quickly when needed. Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, QuickBooks, Teams and Outlook.
