The Evening and Weekend Studies Instructor position provides instructional support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor, Human Learning Systems. The Job Corps program is a federally funded residential training program. Job Corps’ mission is to educate and train youth ages 16 -24 for successful careers in the nation’s fastest-growing industries.

Summary of Duties:

Plan, prepare, and provide meaningful instruction related to individual student learning goals and objectives.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

· Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and students.

· Collaborates with teams, co-teach lessons, and conducts demonstration teaching.

· Thinks flexibly and adapts lessons to the needs of individual student learning styles.

· Possess knowledge and demonstrates use of 21st Century skills in instruction (analytical thinking, problem solving, communicating, collaborating, and finding and evaluating information)

· Demonstrates organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervision.

· Displays evidence of ongoing professional learning and reflective practice to continuously improve student learning and instructional methods.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• North Dakota Teaching certification required.
