Minimum 2 yrs of Mfg. Estimator experience
We are seeking an Qualified Estimator to work in Engineering Dept. Will provide accurate cost estimates for our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. The Estimator must be able to work independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment and have strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience with estimating software and a working knowledge of construction methods.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
- Prepare bids and contracts.
- Gather data on prices from suppliers.
