HIRING IMMEDIATELY - RENTAL MECHANIC

Prior experience working as a mechanic, auto mechanic, small engine mechanic, equipment mechanic, diesel mechanic, diesel technician, is highly preferred.

POSITION LOCATION: Bedford Hills, NY (northern Westchester County)

Shift: 7am-5pm, 5 days per week. Saturday availability required.

Pay: $20-24/hr. (depending on prior experience)

QUALIFICATIONS for a Rental Mechanic:

• Minimum 1-3 years mechanical/technical repair experience required (heavy construction or related equipment experience a plus)
• Prior experience working as a mechanic, auto mechanic, small engine mechanic, equipment mechanic, diesel mechanic, diesel technician, is highly preferred.
• Ability to multitask & be highly organized, with the ability to be competent in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in computer applications and software
• Clean & valid driver's license required

Essential Physical Job Qualifications for a Rental Mechanic:

• Standing and walking
• Lifting (up to 60lbs.)
• Carrying (up to 50lbs.)
• Push/pull (up to 80lbs.)
• Sitting, rotation and forward bending (sitting and standing)
• Hand coordination and reaching
• Grip (30lbs. with both hands, 80lbs. with preferred/single hand)
• Foot pedal operation
• Crawling, low work (kneeling), and awkward positioning
• Outdoor work (as required)

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Rental Mechanic is responsible for the following tasks:

• Prep, load, and receive equipment in a timely and safe manner & complete necessary paperwork
• Inspect machine condition upon arrival and notify appropriate personnel of any damage
• Keep yard clean and organized
• Prep equipment for delivery to customers, as instructed
• Complete all necessary documentation for repairs
• Assist walk-in customers with equipment demonstrations and product information
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner
