To support our ongoing hiring demands, Retronix is seeking an experienced individual for an Installation Technician role based in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Essential Duties:

• Perform a variety of assembly and diagnostic troubleshooting activities.
• Assemble the basic mechanical and electrical components.
• Make mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs.
• Perform initial equipment testing for power on and basic product functions.
• Create and maintain product build documentation and records.
• Assist in installing new customer automated equipment and in moving equipment to new locations.
• Keep accurate reports of all activities performed on each piece of equipment during assembly, installation, and service.
• Provide input to engineering staff on areas for machine problems and improvements.
• Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years previous experience in maintenance, calibration, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor automation manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to use advanced trades mathematics together with use of complex drawings, specifications, and charts.
• Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments.
• Must be able to apply judgement to perform more difficult work with use of complex drawings, specifications, and charts.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
• Must have knowledge of basic electricity and good mechanical skills.
• Must have experience in the use of electrical test equipment and mechanical measurement instruments.
• Ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional overnight travel to training facilities and customer locations may be required.
