Position Title: Plant EHS Manager
Job Location: Fallon, Nevada


Position Description:

The Plant EHS Manager is responsible for the overall location EHS management system. The Plant EHS manager will develop and execute the site EHS strategy in conjunction with the corporate EHS strategy. This person will lead implementation of processes, systems and programs to ensure compliance, and lead continuous improvement projects that will steadily improve EHS performance.


Essential Duties:

  • Leads and Drives implementation of corporate EHS systems and standards at a location(s) which may vary in size and complexity.
  • Leads and drives EHS values-based safety culture by working with, coaching and mentoring the plant management.
  • Manages all applicable environmental programs (air, water, waste, etc.) and permits.
  • Directs and implements corporate EHS standards (lockout, mobile equipment, electrical fall prevention, etc.)
  • Develops and leads EHS strategy for the location in conjunction with the corporate strategy.
  • Manages the location fatality and serious injury prevention program and develops action plans to eliminate risks.
  • Leads, develops and conducts EHS training plan to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Lead, coach and mentor location management with incident investigations root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Actively coaches and supports plant leadership on executing their EHS roles and responsibilities


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in EHS or closely related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an EHS discipline
  • Expert knowledge of state, local and government EHS related requirements
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
