The Boeing Company is looking for Entry-Level Rocket Propulsion Engineers to support the Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) team. There are several locations hiring: Huntsville, AL , El Monte, CA, Los Alamitos, CA

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports definition of requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems and vehicle fuel and tank systems.
  • Assists to define, coordinate and control the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.
  • Assists in developing specifications for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Documents configurations and designs of propulsion sub-systems and components. Assists in using various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.
  • Assists in the performance of certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.
  • Assists in supporting fielded systems to assure continued reliability and airworthiness.
  • Supports development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements.
  • Works under close supervision.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics or Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Rocket Propulsion

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
