NOW OFFERING A $1000 HIRING BONUS AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A 90-DAY INTRODUCTORY PERIOD
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is the entry-level position in Beverage and Sauce production with positions available on Day or Swing Shift. The purpose of this position is to evaluate the factors listed below to determine ultimately where a production employee is best suited to become a regular employee. The typical maximum duration of this position is *90-days, after which the successful employee will be assigned to a regular position on the Sauce or Beverage production line and may be given a pay increase commensurate with the regular position they will be assigned to and/or receive a pre-agreed hiring bonus.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Learn production duties in Sauce/Beverage areas.
  • Develop proficiency and be certified to operate a lift truck (if applicable).
  • Learn quality standards and learn to ensure areas are being as productive as possible.
  • Learn cleanliness and housekeeping standards in Sauce/Beverage areas and ensure that work areas are kept clean and hazard-free.
  • Understand and ensure adherence to General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to make safe quality food.
  • Learn to ‘multitask’ and will cross-train in both Beverage and Sauce production areas.
  • Learn to perform shift change duties as required.
  • Learn and implement all required safety procedures and the consistent and appropriate uses of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Solid work ethics include but are not limited to:
  • A solid track record with previous employers of excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Experience and/or ability to work in a culturally/ethnically diverse environment.
  • Ability to either avoid or deal effectively with and resolve workplace conflicts in a socially appropriate manner.
  • Ability to give and receive positive and negative feedback in a socially appropriate manner.
  • Ability to reason and problem solve.

Physical Skills and abilities that include but are not limited to:
  • Standing for extended periods,
  • Walking through the crowded production plant
  • Ability to bend, kneel, lift, grasp, climb stairs/ladders
  • Ability to remain on feet for 90% of the day.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs. consistently and up to 50 lbs. as needed and depending on the job.

Language skills– must be able to read English, follow instructions, and communicate effectively with all team members.
General mathematics skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
EQUIPMENT, MACHINERY, TOOLS USE:
  • Varies depending on the knowledge and experience of the individual and the area assigned.
JOB CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
Work performed in a production and warehouse facility subject to the following environmental conditions:
  • Temperature variation.
  • Lengthy periods of standing/walking on concrete.
  • Negotiating stairways and tight walkways.
  • Noisy environment.
  • Lift Truck traffic.
  • Wet floors.
  • Swiftly moving machinery.
  • Changing job duties or overtime required because of changing business demands or training/staffing changes.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Some manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in food manufacturing is highly desirable.
