Join our Human Resources team as a recruiter and gain valuable skills and work experience while working in a fun environment! In this entry level/internship role, you will have an opportunity to review seasonal candidate applications, connect with our applicants and play a key role in the hiring process for the Dorney Park Team.


This position pays $16/hr
[Please note this is an entry level, hourly, seasonal position with our team! Applicants must be available weekdays, weekends and evenings into late October.]

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiter is responsible for selecting employees to fill hiring needs and ensuring all individuals being offered a position meet or exceed the hiring criteria
  • Gain knowledge through training programs and work experience
  • Comply with all applicable local, state and federal employment laws. Refer any special or unusual applicant situations to the appropriate member of the Employment staff.
  • Resolve all routine applicant issues/complaints in a manner consistent with California Great America service standards.
  • Screen applicants to ensure they meet Dorney Park’s minimum hiring criteria.
  • Interview applicants according to established Company procedures. Properly document all applicant interviews. Make job offers to applicants that meet the requirements of the job.
  • Assist new hires in the completion of all employment-related paperwork. Process newly hired employees.
  • Participate in various hiring events including internal and external job fairs.
  • Handle all incoming inquiries, assisting callers and answering questions as needed. Operate multi-line phone including answering calls, putting calls on hold and transferring calls.
  • Perform general office duties including filing, records retention, typing and answering phones.
  • Assist in the completion of various types of employment reports and paperwork.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Entry level position
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and work independently in an applicant tracking system.
  • Maintains candidate and associate confidence and protects operations by keeping Human Resources information confidential.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines in a short amount of time.
  • Ability to work in a call center environment and talk on the phone for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to assist numerous associates at one time during on-boarding sessions.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Education and/or experience in Human Resources a plus.
