Job Title: Engineering Manager Division/Department: Management
Compensation: Salary Reports to: President

SCOPE: Engineering manager provides management services in engineering design, configuration management, and responsible for entire project cycle from design/development, qualification testing through project completion.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create and lead vision for engineering department in accordance with company goals.
2. Manage the engineering team in a manner that supports teamwork and development.
3. Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life-cycle cost and equipment selection.
4. Conduct surveys to gather field data.
5. Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids.
6. Prepare, review, and approve internal technical specifications and test reports.
7. Review, critique, and approve proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.
8. Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
9. Coordinate the activities between the design and manufacturing teams.
10. Authority to determine disposition of non-conforming product in accordance with quality management system.
11. Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
12. Review, update, and approve engineering related quality policies in accordance with AS9100 and support accreditation audits as required.

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires exceptional management and project management execution skills. Advanced math abilities, advanced 2D/3D design software proficiency, and the ability to understand "abstract" principles behind math and physics are required. Work requires working knowledge of engineering CAD/CAM tools used in the aerospace industry. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (minimum) and three to five years of engineering experience.

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND TRAINING:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires travel between company locations and customers in
USA and occasional international travel to customers when required during project execution. Work will require occasional evening and weekend work and management.

Pay: $126,518.00 - $134,457.00 per year
