The Broken Arrow Service Engineering department assists or leads several important functions within the Broken Arrow Process and Treating technical group. The Service Engineering team is responsible for troubleshooting Enerflex products installed in the field, assisting Enerflex international operations, providing technical oversight for other engineering groups, and serving as a Process and treating product expert resource. An ability to adapt and pivot from one type of task to another on short notice is important for working in this group. Excellent problem solving skills and collaboration on solutions is also an important element to the service engineering team. This position if for an experienced process engineer with 2-7 years of relevant experience. It will provide an opportunity to work with and learn from very experienced process engineers.

Position Summary

The Broken Arrow Service Engineering department assists or leads several important functions within the Broken Arrow Process and Treating technical group. The Service Engineering team is responsible for troubleshooting Enerflex products installed in the field, assisting Enerflex international operations, providing technical oversight for other engineering groups, and serving as a Process and treating product expert resource. An ability to adapt and pivot from one type of task to another on short notice is important for working in this group. Excellent problem solving skills and collaboration on solutions is also an important element to the service engineering team.

This position if for an experienced process engineer with 2-7 years of relevant experience. It will provide an opportunity to work with and learn from very experienced process engineers. A chemical engineering degree is preferred, but other BS engineering degrees will be considered.

The Broken Arrow Service Engineering department includes highly skilled, motivated engineers that are adept at problem solving. This group contributes greatly to the overall success of the company in many ways.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

In general, the engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Learning all aspects related to Engineering and Design of Gas Processing and Treating equipment through formal and informal training.
  • Assist and become proficient in evaluating the design and performance of cryogenic gas processing and amine treating equipment.
  • Become very familiar with Enerflex standard equipment designs to assist other groups with applications and implementation of those designs.
  • Assist in calculation tool development to improve productivity and accuracy of Enerflex work products.
  • Assist or lead technical reviews of proposed customer solutions for accuracy and compliance with Enerflex P&T standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other Service Engineering team members on complex and creative solutions to issues that arise with our products in the field or from customer requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of codes and standards applicable to the products in the global market.
  • Completing assigned deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Following up on technical issues and concerns with the appropriate disciplines.
  • Interacting with the team members from both the execution and applications groups on proposals and projects, as necessary
  • Attending weekly department and project meetings
  • Gain familiarity with Enerflex processes and procedures. Update work instructions and procedures as required.
  • Duties must be performed consistently with the company mission and values and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Quality: Ensure alignment of Enerflex, customer and vendor quality control and quality assurance in bids.
  • Abide by and promote Enerflex’s HSE policy.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • 2-7 Years Gas Processing or Related Oil and Gas Industry Experience
  • Familiarity with Process Engineering Related documents: PFDs, P&IDs, material balances, equipment datasheets, equipment lists, line lists, cause and effect lists, and process control narratives.
  • Familiarity with vessel sizing, pump curves, heat exchanger performance, distillation towers + tower internals, basic process control, and hydraulic calculations.
  • Familiarity with turbo expander gas plants, amine treating, dehydration, refrigeration plants, and fractionation is preferred.
  • Some experience with on-site troubleshooting of process and mechanical issues in gas processing facilities or related facilities is preferred.
  • Experience with HAZOP, Cause & Effect, and Design Review
  • Ability to develop process simulations using HYSYS, ProMax, or similar software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Knowledge of product mechanical design, thermodynamics, chemical processing, and instrumentation & controls.
  • Time management skills including multi-tasking competing priorities as needed.
  • Ability to generate alternative solutions.
  • Being customer-centered and able to maintain satisfied customer and vendor relationships.
  • Desire and ability to resolve technical problems with a desire and ability to continue learning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and team oriented, capable of learning, managing time, priorities, and operating well under pressure with little supervision.

Working Conditions

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
