POSITION SUMMARY:

Jewish Family Service of Cincinnati is seeking an Engagament and Program Coordinator to join our growing Youth Mental Health program. This new department is a high priority within our agency. Its mission is to address the unmet mental health needs of youth, teens, and young adults through counseling, coordination of care, community education and programming, as well as partnership building opportunities.
This position will work across youth and young adult facing organizations and professionals to create meaningful partnerships, promote access to JFS youth mental health services, and create opportunities for program collaboration, implementation, and execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Collaboration and Program Execution:
  • Build relationships and partnerships across Greater Cincinnati Jewish community youth and young adult facing organizations, including key stakeholders; Convene these partners in meaningful collaborations;
  • Collaborate with and provide consultation alongside community partners to develop and execute community programs targeting youth, young adults, and families;
  • Manage and oversee, alongside the Director of Youth Mental Health Services, the implementation of community wide events sponsored by Jewish Family Service, including Mental Health Awareness Month activities, Mental Health First Aid programming, and other events as identified.
  • Assist in the on-going evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of client programming;

Community Engagement:

  • Engage Roundtable cohort in community building, problem solving, and collaboration focused on utilization of Jewish community resources to promote improved access to mental health services, reduced stigma, and healthy environments.
  • Provide administrative and educational assistance to promote stakeholder training and implementation of Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Other:

  • Manage time and tasks efficiently to meet required timelines.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Mental Health/Social Services/Marketing/Development related degrees are preferred;
  • At least 1-3 years experience working with youth, young adults and their families, in education, youth engagement, and/or mental health settings;
  • Candidates must have a cultural knowledge of key populations served;
  • Committed to destigmatizing mental health;
  • Strong partner engagement and outreach skills;
  • Demonstrates strength facilitating meetings and gatherings;
  • Effective communicator, with strong writing skills;
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities; Able to see a project through from planning to execution;
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation, and proof of auto insurance required; Applicants must be able to pass a background check;
  • May be required to work flexible schedules. Some evening and weekend hours as needed based on community programming;
  • $22.84 - $30.95/hour based on experience
