Overview:
As an EMT-Intermediate ( EMT-I) you'll provide Basic and Intermediate Life Support pre-hospital emergency care, transportation and non-emergency transfer service to patients. You will ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.
At Presbyterian Espanola Hospital, you'll join a supportive, dynamic, proactive, and collaborative team in the beautiful northern New Mexico location of Espanola Valley. Work Schedule: Varied Days and Hours
- High school plus specialized
- New Mexico EMT-Basic license
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- New Mexico drivers license
- 21 years of age to comply with insurance regulations.
- Maintains positive communications and collaboration with Emergency Department physicians and staff regarding the definitive therapy administered to patients being delivered for emergency care at their facility. Documents and maintains an informative and accurate medical record by initiating charges for each patient treated, using ChartWriter 2000.
- Assists in cleaning and maintaining emergency supplies and equipment for the department. Assists in providing preventive and/or routine maintenance to emergency vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Assists in the instruction of Emergency Medical Services students to provide for positive work-related experiences; participates in and endorses the established Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) guest relations program.
